Nature Continues to Amaze Me

Human-designed works of wonder like SmartPhones and iPhones are impressive. I marvel at their ability to hold calendars, show my emails, and let me text someone thousands of miles away and know the message will be received within seconds of pressing SEND. Amazingly, those are just a few of the features!

Photo technology provides a way to record some of the most amazing displays of nature. The blood moon was amazing as it hovered in the sky the other night. Seeing it in person was a privilege given by the powers that be to all life in certain parts of the world. The view is different depending on where a person lives and what things get in the way, such as tall trees, sweeping mountains, and mighty buildings designed to meet the visions of architects.

This sight of the moon as I looked out the back door in the early morning called to be memorized and revisited now and then. The impressive moon of October 7 2014 still had the power to inspire me in the early morning of October 8 as it clung to its place in the sky before the sun took its place in the heavens.
Did you get to see this spectacular display? What natural or technical marvel impresses you at times?

  1. I did see it here, but didn't get to snap a photo of it, great shot! I'm a big fan of rainbows too! (Have yet to find that elusive pot of Gold though! LOL)

  2. We often see beautiful sunrises as we drive to school in the morning. Natural marvels are still more amazing than man-made ones.

  3. I loved seeing the blood moon the other night. It was beautiful and I went outside in my pajamas early am and tried to get some pictures with my cell phone but was unable to get it to show up. I didn't have my expensive camera with me. I love nature too and right now it is just amazing in the midwest.

  5. I do not think I even knew about it. Most likely I slept through it or had my head in a toy pile that needed cleaning up. I'm sure it was awesome.

  7. The moon, the sunsets, sun rises, the ocean... they all amaze me over and over again. And trees! Trees amaze me.

  8. I didn't get to see it. It wasn't visible from Trinidad. I saw pics though and I can only imagine how amazing it must have been to witness it first hand.

  9. I didn't get to see it because it was cloudy and stormy when it should have been happening. I love the picture you snapped though!

  10. I didn't see it, but would have loved to. We're in the middle of a lot of trees and houses, so it's hard to see anything that's not right above us.

  11. So beautiful! I sadly miss seeing this often now that I live in the big city but I do miss it. The moon, and nature is beautiful!

  12. LOVE nature! I think one of the most memorable experiences I had was in middle school when we went to an all night star gazing party. People made their own telescopes as a hobby and it was the first time I got to see the Andromeda galaxy - i'll certainly never forget it!

  16. Sadly, I didn't get the chance to see it, but it looks gorgeous! One natural marvel I have always wanted to see is the Northern Lights.

  18. It impresses me too, but not enough to get out of bed early to see it. But I did regret not waking up that morning. I'll have to catch the next Blood Moon eclipse in 6 months.

I'm with Dawn from Cheap Is The "New" Classy. I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights, so amaze me!

  19. I was able to see it. I live in a a rural, open area. So, the moon and sun are always a bright light and often appear closer to use because of the open spaces. I love it.
