Happy Ventures to Hewlett-Packard

The times, they are a-changing, and this time it is international technology leader Hewlett-Packard Company saying goodbye.  I got an e-mail October 1 with the formal notice of the company’s venture into two separate companies and a copy of the press release from 10-1-14 announcing the change.

Two publicly traded Fortune 50 companies instead of one are on the horizon November 1, 2015. You can read more about the transaction here.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise will focus on software, services, and technology infrastructure. Internet Security is a major concern in big business. Significant steps in mobility, big data, the cloud, and security have been discussed and analyzed over the past year. The result is an opportunity for big business to participate in next-generation operations.

HP Inc. concentrates on personal systems and printing. One of the most exciting features is 3-D printing. A digital file and successive layers of additives make it possible to build three dimensional working replicas of small items. It’s an opportunity for consumers to have fun and be creative.

Future updates on technological innovation will still drop into my inbox on occasion. It’s a great source for staying in touch with the exciting world of technology.

While I have no stock or vested interest in HP, I love their printers, computers, and customer support. It’s going to be interesting to watch HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise grow.

  6. I don't think this will have much of an impact on my or my personal life but I do wish the company luck in their new venture. HP has been such a big part of America's tech life for a long time.

  8. Wow, I really didn't know too much about the actual company behind HP. We have always had an HP computer in our home, I remember learning how to type on it as a teenager.
